Julia Fox fans were recently befuddled after seeing her on a billboard for New Jersey real estate outside a vape shop in Manhattan.

The native advertisement, which turns out to be in support of the new film Presence, features the 34-year-old star’s recognizable headsH๏τ, which on one side overlaps an image of a blue and white house.

On the the other side a message in capital black letters reads: ‘Find your forever home.’ 

The poster, situated outside of 202 Mott Street, includes an active phone number complete with a New Jersey area code — 908-955-CECE — and accompanying website.

Directed by renowned filmmaker Steven Soderbergh, Presence is centered around a family who ‘becomes convinced they are not alone after moving into their new home in the suburbs,’ according to an IMDb log line.

Fox plays Cece, the family’s realtor, who helped them purchase the haunted residence.

The phone number directs to a voicemail, where, according to a THR report, more than 1,500 people have left messages.

The outlet noted that the majority of calls were from people going along with the gag, acting as potential buyers.

One person dropped in to say, ‘Hi Cece, I’m waiting to hear back. I was getting my colonic earlier and I noticed that you had left me a message about that beautiful little borough home in Jersey.’

Another fan quipped, ‘I don’t live in New Jersey, but you might make me move there ’cause what is this mothering you’re doing?’ 

There was also a diehard Fox stan who dialed in just to say: ‘You know how some people are like, what would Jesus do? Like WWJD? I say, what would Julia do? WWJD.’

Yet another roughly ’10 percent’ of calls were from actual realtors, including a real estate professional from Los Angeles who left contact information. 

‘The market is always good for agents, no matter what time of year,’ the person advised.

The niche horror film stars This Is Us alum Chris Sullivan with a script by David Koepp (Secret Window and You Should Have Left).

It premiered at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival, and was released in theaters nationwide on Friday, January 24.

In its opening weekend it raked in $3.3 million from 1,750 cinemas, per THR. And the movie cost less than $3 million to make.

Presence comes from the independent production company Neon, who shared pH๏τos of the billboard on social media earlier this month.

The caption read, ‘Find your forever home. Contact Cece today: cecesrealty.com,’ prompting fans to express shock in the comments.
