Kyle Walker’s wife Annie Kilner has decided to remain in the UK and spend time with her friends instead of joining him in Italy, after vowing to ‘put herself first every now and then’ at the start of the new year.

The model, 31, was meant to be flying out with their four children to see the England star, 34, make his debut with AC Milan this weekend, after his loan move from Manchester City. 

However, following an alleged explosive row with Kyle, she chose to stay at home and celebrate her friend’s 40th birthday instead.

One of Annie’s friends told MailOnline: ‘Annie was really excited about the party as it was going to be one of the first times she’d let her hair down since Rezon. 

‘When the news came of Kyle’s signing, she was torn between going straight over and sticking to her original plans. 

‘She made a promise at new year to put herself first every now and then so did just that – she knew there were lots of opportunities ahead to visit Milan to support Kyle ahead of the family move should the contact become permanent.’

Annie had previously been set to arrive in Italy last weekend with their sons, Roman, 11, Riaan, seven, Reign, five, and nine-month-old baby Rezon, before being delayed first by the stormy weather and then by a fresh row with Kyle.

Tensions were said to have risen between the pair over the rumours that the footballer’s ex-mistress Lauryn Goodman could move to Italy too, with her and Kyle’s two children.

And according to The Sun, Annie is still refusing to go to Italy, while her and Kyle are said to be barely speaking.

A source told the publication: ‘She’s sick and tired of dropping everything for Kyle and is putting her foot down. He’s flown his mates out and she’s livid.

‘He appears to be settling in very well and that’s not helping matters either. Kyle’s mum and dad are going to be in the San Siro on Sunday to support him. 

‘Again, she had no idea and was furious when she found out. They’re not communicating whatsoever.’

The move to Italy was said to be an attempt for a ‘clean break’ for Kyle and Annie after a rocky past few years.

A source told MailOnline: ‘This is a good opportunity to put things behind them and make a go of it as a family unit. It will be a challenge in a new country, but they are willing to give it a go.’

Last year, Annie filed for divorce and kicking the footballer out of the family home in Cheshire, after she discovered he had secretly fathered a second child with his ex-Lauryn.

Sources say Annie, who was pregnant with her fourth child when Lauryn dropped the shocking bombshell, is now working on her relationship with Kyle ‘behind the scenes’.

An insider said: ‘The couple are committed to keeping their family as united as possible and protecting their four boys from any fallout.

‘They enjoyed Christmas together, as a family, and continue to work on their own relationship but as yet no decisions have been made.

‘They would love time and peace away from the spotlight and rumours to be able to continue working on things behind the scenes.’

However, news of Lauryn’s plans to relocate to Italy as well reportedly put a spanner in the works.

A source told The Sun: ‘Annie was supposed to go on Friday but Storm Eowyn put it back until Saturday.

‘Then a row over Lauryn and her future plans blew up and Annie did a full 180. She was also p***ed off he flew his friends out before her. So she went on a girls’ night out and posted the pictures as a big ‘f*** you’.’

Lauryn had previously expressed a desire to move to Dubai when Kyle was initially linked with a transfer to the lucrative Saudi league after he told City boss Pep Guardiola of his intentions of moving abroad.

But after agreeing a deal with AC Milan, Lauryn changed tact, telling pals she would follow Kyle ‘anywhere’ in a desperate bid for him to connect with their children.

It comes as Annie is reportedly in talks to star in a huge ITV reality show, in a bid to follow in the footsteps of another high-profile WAG.

According to The Sun, she is a top target for ITV bosses to star in Celebrity Big Brother, and they’ve already asked her representatives to ‘name their price.’

A source said: ‘Coleen Rooney’s success on I’m A Celebrity proved how much interest there is for WAGs and they would love to replicate her success on CBB.

‘Annie’s team were told to name their price, they’d do anything to get her on board. Because Annie has never spoken it would be an absolute coup to get her in the house.

‘The amount of headlines it would generate for the show would be publicity gold too, and it would give Annie a chance to speak in a completely natural way without it being formal like an interview.’
