Zendaya joins a cast that also includes Rebecca Ferguson and Oscar Isaac as Paul Atreides’ parents, Lady Jessica and Leto.
The cast also includes Stellan Skarsgard as the primary villain, Baron Harkonnen and Dave Bautista as his dangerous nephew, Glossu ‘Beast’ Rabban.
Denis Villeneuve (Blade Runner 2049) is directing from a script he co-wrote with Eric Roth (A Star Is Born) and Jon Spaihts (Pᴀssengers).
Production is slated to begin sometime in 2019, with author Frank Herbert’s son Brian and his daughter Kim serving as producers.
