Martha Stewart takes major swipe at Barbra Streisand while discussing her upcoming bombshell memoir

Martha Stewart appeared to take a sly swipe at Barbra Streisand, 82, during an interview with Pamela Anderson. 

The 83-year-old lifestyle guru was speaking with The Last Showgirl star about her career renaissance at age 57 for Elle magazine.  

During the chat, Stewart whose life was covered in a popular Netflix documentary Martha, revealed she was writing her life story. 

‘I’m writing an autobiography right now. Wait until you do that!’ she told Pamela. 

 ‘I’ve waited completely. Boy, I’m having fun,’ she added.

‘I’m not going to let anything not be said,’ the author said, ‘I want to tell it all.’

Then making what appeared to be a dig at Barbra Streisand, Stewart said with a laugh: ‘It’s a huge challenge to do that and not be Barbra Streisand with 900 pages. I don’t want it to be long and boring.’

Stewart and Streisand have crossed paths in their lives, the so comment may have been in jest.

Indeed, the length of Streisand’s tome did not prevent fans from grabbing some 3,000,000 copies of  My Name is Barbra in the first week. 

Thus far, Stewart has published 100 books focused on cooking, gardening and more, but declared she wants to be open about her life.

It comes after Stewart said she was not happy with the final edit of the Martha documentary on Netflix and made her thoughts known quite publicly. 

In an interview with The New York Times, the influencer stated, ‘I love the first half of the documentary. It gets into things that many people don’t know anything about, which is what I like about it.’

However, she found the second half to be ‘lazy. Those last scenes with me looking like a lonely old lady walking hunched over in the garden? Boy, I told him to get rid of those. And he refused. I hate those last scenes. Hate them.’

She joked the next cover of her Martha Stewart magazine ‘will be in a ʙικιɴι!’

Anderson stated she had a few projects she was working on but wanted to follow Stewart’s example. 

‘Martha, you’re a pioneer. There was no other way but yours. And I think that’s a really exciting, romantic way to live. Living a mystery and being okay with that, that’s kind of where I’m at these days.’
