BBC Breakfast fans in hysterics as ‘awkward’ camera crew become unlikely stars after technical blunder – jeering ‘we see you!’

BBC Breakfast fans were left in hysterics after a technical blunder turned the show’s camera crew into unlikely stars this morning.

The popular morning programme was hosted by Naga Munchetty, 49, and Charlie Stayt, 62.

Tana Adkin KC from the Criminal Bar ᴀssociation featured as a guest and was interviewed by Charlie.

During the conversation, the camera unexpectedly turned towards two crew members who were stood beside a BBC Sport studio sign, the Express reported.

They appeared to look at the camera before slowly moving out of sH๏τ, with one of them ducking to the side.

Some viewers noticed the blunder and took to social media to post their reactions.

One posted: ‘When you didn’t expect to become a star on @BBCBreakfast. Love their awkward looks, as they slunk back off camera!!!’

Another quipped: ‘#BBCBreakfast hahahaha. We see ya.’

Someone else said: ‘#BBCBreakfast gone wrong. Smile please.’

The show also covered Storm Eowyn, which has led to rare red weather warnings for Scotland and Northern Ireland.

It has caused extraordinary travel chaos across Britain today as 92mph winds cancelled more than 300 flights cancelled and axed all trains in Scotland.

The show featured weather reporter Sara Girvin speaking from a blustery Donaghadee in Northern Ireland.

It comes after another camera mishap on the popular breakfast show happened last November and left stars Jon Kay, 55, and Sally Nugent, 53, caught off guard.

During part of the daytime programme, the breakfast show aired a segment on Keir Starmer, 62, however, when the camera returned to the studio, the pair were unaware they were being filmed.

While Jon leaned back on the sofa appearing engrossed by his phone, Sally accidentally showed her list of notes to the camera as she returned to the sofa with a cup of tea.

While the presenters usually apologise for technical errors, the pair continued presenting the show as normal when the cameras returned to the studio.

However, the mishap wasn’t missed by viewers at home, as one person shared a screensH๏τ of the error on X, writing: ‘Ooopsie!!!’

Breakfast airs weekdays on BBC One from 6am and is available to stream on iPlayer.
