Kaitlyn Bristowe opened up about how her dog reacted to her face after she got cosmetic surgery. 

After getting blepharoplasty, she said her one of her two golden retrievers, Pinot and Ramen, ‘clawed at one of my eyes.’

Even though she was already in the middle of her recovery process and was about to get her sтιтches removed, she said she had to go back to her doctor. 

The Bachelorette star, 39, explained: ‘I had to get one re-sтιтched so that one is slowly healing a bit slower than the other eye.’ 

After that, she said she had to sleep sitting up for two days. After that, she said that she ‘went on with life as per usual.’ 

The television personality explained: ‘That surgery that I had for my upper bleph was on December 5. It is now January 22. The scarring is healing nicely.

‘I just put a little bit of vitamin E oil on and i just also want to say that I am not here to influence you or make you go get one and think you need one,’ she continued. 

‘I’m just simply being transparent and sharing my journey.’ 

Last week, she also shared snaps from her recent blepharoplasty, a procedure targeting the eyelids, to her Instagram.

Despite what must be an uncomfortable recovery, Kaitlyn managed to maintain her trademark sense of humor as she opened up about the procedure on social media.

She captioned a post chronicling her post-op with a reference to Meryl Streep’s line in The Devil Wears Prada.  

‘Don’t be ridiculous Andrea, everyone wants to look like this,’ the post was humorously captioned as it began with a selfie of Kaitlyn with her red eyelids. 

The carousel included a snap of Kaitlyn – who’s been open about her cosmetic work – in the hospital as she showed off her sтιтched-up eyelids.

The Bachelor vet raised an eyebrow as she sat in her bed with her hair contained within a blue net.

She followed it up with video of a nurse wheeling Kaitlyn through the hospital hallway in a wheelchair as she giggled.

Her newly-operated eyelids were bright red in another selfie she took from bed.

Kaitlyn first revealed her surgery Saturday with a carousel updating fans on the latest happenings at the ‘Bristowe residence.’

‘I got an upper bleph (take it to your group chat if you wanna be negative),’ she wrote in the caption.

Her latest update came Monday with video of Kaitlyn marveling at her healing progress.

Her left eyebrow was bruised and considerably darker than her right, an aspect Kaitlyn found fascinating.  

‘Okay this eye is like healed,’ she said of her right lid. ‘I don’t know what is happening. I don’t know if it’s because I took a steroid pack, it’s wild.

‘They actually took more off this eyelid because this is the one that I really wanted to fix my droop.

‘And then this one is healing so much slower but still so great,’ she said of her left lid. ‘I’ve seen some people with their healing journey of an upper bleph and mine’s actually going really well.

‘So yeah this is day four… and I’m just stoked on the healing journey!’

According to Cleveland Clinic, ‘Blepharoplasty is a surgical procedure that improves the appearance of your eyelids. It helps reduce the look of tired eyes from your lower lids and removes drooping skin from your upper lids.’

Kaitlyn has been open about the cosmetic work she’s had done in the past. 

‘6 years since I was on the show, Brow lift, brow micro blading, got my teeth bonded, some filler In my lips, aging, darker hair, and I finally learned how to contour. Oh and I put on some weight’. she posted to social media back in 2021.

Hours later Kaitlyn followed up with a video to clarify she hasn’t gone under the knife.

‘Let me clarify brow lift because I’m having a chuckle over here, clearly by myself. Brow lift – I didn’t go under the knife – all my friends were like “WHAT?!”. No, I just got Botox to lift the brows,’ Kaitlyn said while lifting one of her brows with her fingers.
