They added: ‘There is no middle ground. I’ve dealt with this man + his chaos many times. This will be brilliant but might not end well.’
Alex perviously told Virgin Radio: ‘We’ve got someone in the next series, series 19, from abroad, who’s a big name overseas, which we’ve not done before.
‘So yeah, there’s always different avenues to go down. I’m going to tap into the Americans! Are you going to tap into the Americans?’
Taskmaster was back on screens with its New Year’s Treat special last month.
In place of comedians, the likes of All Saints star Melanie Blatt, actress Sue Johnston, footballer David James and Professor Hannah Fry took on Alex Horne and Greg Davies’ challenges.
Royle Family star Sue won the show, but it was financial journalist and broadcaster Martin Lewis who really won over fans with a genius moment.
The Channel 4 show traditionally opens with the Prize Task which challenges contestants to bring in an item, to fit a theme, which the winner of the show will get to take home at the close of the episode.
For the New Year’s special Taskmaster Greg asked the celebs to bring in an item that they took the most pride in.

Whilst Sue bought in a pH๏τo of her late mother with Sir Paul McCartney and Melanie her MasterChef apron, Martin chose a very special item.
‘I love games, that’s one of the reasons I’m here. and I was on what I thought up until now was one of the best game shows on television, House Of Cards,’ he explained.
‘I bought in one of the prizes which is the House Of Games Richard Osman face deckchair – there we go,’ he told a flabberghasted Greg.
‘Do you ever go into theatres and shout out Macbeth as well?’ the Taskmaster joked.
‘I’m aware I am risking this prize so I am putting it up in return for hopefully getting a better prize which would be winning Taskmaster,’ explained Martin.
Alex said: ‘There is also a slight small print issue with this if that if you win a BBC quiz show, you’re not allowed to give that prize away… it’s illegal.’
But fans were left shocked when Martin ‘outnerded’ Alex. ‘Because I give away prizes in a charity auction, I had written permission to do it in advance,’ he explained.
