Hollyoaks star Garcia Brown has revealed she’s left the soap after three years, and her final scenes have already aired.
The Channel 4 soap has undergone a number of cast changes, joining its TV rival Corrie, which has also seen a string of stars depart in recent months.
Garcia, played Zoe, the granddaughter of Pearl Anderson, for three years, but she has now taken to Instagram to reveal she’s departed the show.
She re-shared a post from one of the directors of the show, which read: ‘Saying goodbye to the fab @garciaabrown this week.
‘Always a pleasure to work with such a positive and genuinely lovely person.’
She replied under his post: ‘Thank you for always being amazing, appreciated every scene we worked on! Our paths shall cross again Sean, God bless.’

In another post, Garcia posed with her adorable on-screen son, writing: ‘I had thee cutest on screen son!
‘Loved the little time we shared on set, thank you for trusting me with little Roman’ before tagging in the tots mum.
‘Playing a mommy on screen was fun, and so was running around on set with this little one inbetween takes.’
It comes after Hollyoaks producers made a huge ‘cast cull’ in 2023, after Channel 4 cut the number of weekly episodes.
Stars including Stephanie Waring, Jamie Lomas, Owen Warner, Jamelia, Gregory Finnegan and Annie Wallace said goodbye to the soap.
A source said at the time: ‘Losing 20 cast members in one fell swoop is eye-watering and devastating news for soapland. In the past, Hollyoaks has seen shock stunts claim up to five lives in a single episode.
‘But the days of soaps having a big cast clear-out with a devastating stunt are long gone, especially on Hollyoaks where the budget has been dramatically cut.
‘The necessary death toll would make almost any stunt idea totally unbelievable.’

Last year, Kieron Richardson, who plays Ste Hay, and Jorgie Porter, who plays Theresa McQueen defended the execs’ decision to cut down the cast.
Kieron said: ‘I think it must be hard as a show writer to think of two and a half hours of TV each week it’s like a full film, whereas now if you shorten that down a little bit you’re going to get the best of the best in terms of quality.’
He added that with the reduction in air time, it would be ‘all killer and no filler’, adding that whoever gets to stay will have a ‘really exciting time’ ahead of them.
Meanwhile, Jorgie added: ‘I say we’re still giving the same drama, effort and energy and stuff so I think we’re safe.’
Hollyoaks is not the only soap that has been hit by a string of cast exits, with seven Coronation Street stars revealing they’re set to leave the show over the past month.
It appears the ITV soap is in trouble due to an alleged cash crisis and a revolt from the cast over poor working conditions and low salaries.

Since November, Charlotte Jordan, Sue Cleaver, Sue Devaney, Colson Smith, and Luca Toolan — have all announced they will be leaving the show.
New boss Kate had previously warned that multiple characters face the axe as she told of several ‘unexpected exits’ coming up this year.
The producer, who previously took the helm at Emmerdale, recently opened up about her plans for Weatherfield and its residents in 2025.
And while there’s plenty of sizzling storylines and drama to come, there are several cast members who won’t get to see this as their characters are set to leave the show in a move that is tipped to send ‘shockwaves’ throughout the show.
Speaking to The Sun and other press, Kate explained of the upcoming plans: ‘There are a few exits this year, and some unexpected ones that will send shockwaves. People might not expect the exits, but there are a few.’
It comes after it was reported that stars are set to be offered shorter contracts amid the soap’s declining viewing figures and financial woes.

All is not well in Weatherfield as some mid-ranking actors and younger stars are said to be worried they’ll be axed in a bid to save money (Charlotte Jordan recently left the show)
Corrie only pulled in 2.6million viewers for its Christmas Day special which saw Gail Platt (Helen Worth) leave after 50 years on the show.
And last week, The Sun claimed that producers may now only guarantee contracts until the end of 2025 amid тιԍнтened budgets.
A source told the publication: ‘The cast of Corrie is huge and some aren’t getting enough episodes.
‘A few paid per episode are struggling to pay mortgages are having to supplement income with personal appearances and ads on Instagram.
‘A lot of cast members are now on ‘guest contracts’ like Maureen Lipman and Kate Ford. These are short term, so they can come and go and take extended breaks. The cast have been told they can’t guarantee any contracts beyond the end of 2025.’
