Paloma Faith gets set to launch new podcast Mad, Bad & Sad as first trailer teases chats with Alan Carr, Rupert Everett and Jameela Jamil

Paloma Faith was getting set to launch a new podcast called ‘Mad, Bad & Sad’ on Wednesday.

The singer, 43, will release the first episode of the podcast next Tuesday on January 28 with special guest Alan Carr.

Other guests confirmed for the podcast include Spice Girl Mel B, comedian Katherine Ryan, musicians Eve and AJ Tracey, and actors Rupert Everett, Paapa Essiedu and Aisling Bea.

Broadcasters and writers Jameela Jamil, James O’Brien, Elizabeth Day and Afua Hirsch will also feature.

A trailer for the podcast released on Wednesday featured Paloma introducing the series as she said: ‘Hi I’m Paloma Faith and this is Mad, Bad & Sad. I have been called mad and bad my whole life.

‘I’ve also had some real moments of sad so I decided to make a podcast. This series I’ll be speaking to my favourite actors, comedians, musicians and thinkers to find out what makes them ‘mad’, ‘bad’ and ‘sad’ – but also so it’s not too depressing we’ll find out what makes them ‘glad’ too.’

Some of the conversations were then teased with the various celebrities ahead of the podcast release.

JamPot founder Jamie Laing said of the new podcast: ‘The moment I met Paloma I was desperate to hear what her own podcast could sound like.

‘Paloma is one of the boldest and most refreshing voices going and ‘Mad, Sad & Bad’ is just a perfect reflection of her style, listening to these conversations I guarantee you will laugh and cry just as much as I did.

‘I’m beyond excited to have her join our JamPot family!’

Paloma added: ‘Mad? Sad? Bad? Yeah, I’ve been called all those things, but instead of letting it define me, I’ve decided to own it and make a podcast where I’ll be talking to my favourite actors, comedians, musicians, and thinkers on how they’ve handled those pivotal moments of emotion.

‘Mad, Sad & Bad’ is about the highs, the lows, and the glorious mess in-between. Come for the chaos, stay for the conversation.’

It comes after Paloma made sure all eyes were on her as she shared a 2024 highlights throwback album.

The star took to Instagram last week with a series of stunning snaps as she looked back at the past year.
