I found out my house burned down on social media, reveals Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Boz Saint John

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Bozoma Saint John is opening up about losing her home in Malibu from the Palisades Fire.

The 48-year-old marketing executive turned reality star appeared on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live alongside Real Housewives of New York’s Jenna Lyons.

Less than two weeks earlier, Saint John revealed to her 592K Instagram followers that she lost her beloved home, which she called an ‘unimaginable loss.’

Saint John revealed on Watch What Happens Live that the loss was even more devastating because she found out so late.

She was out of the country at the time, adding she found out her home burned to the ground while on social media site X (formerly Twitter).

When host Andy Cohen asked how she was holding up, Saint John admitted, ‘That is a hard question.’

‘It is a difficult time because there are so many people who have lost everything. It makes me wonder about how we can be resilient and how we can continue to go on when things like this happen, and I’m trying my best,’ Saint John said.

Cohen then asked about when she realized her home was in danger, if she had time to prepare, and she said, ‘No. I was in Zambia. I saw my house on Twitter. That is how I found out,’ she said, which stunned Cohen.

‘It was devastating. I felt so helpless. That was nothing I could do. You can’t send anybody to get anything or anything. I just tried to make my way back as quickly as possible,’ she told Cohen.

The reality star added she had been in the home for four years, although she, ‘worked 25 years to get it.’

She admitted, ‘I’m in deep grief. I try not to compare grief to anybody else but the hard thing is that, it was more than just a house.’

‘It was not just my home but a home for my family and friends I had a keypad so people could just put in a code and go in when they want. We all lost a home,’ she said.

Cohen also asked how her 15-year-old daughter Lael is holding up, and she answered, ‘She is doing all right. She had friends that lost homes as well. There is some community in that.’

She also offered some advice to those who have had friends who lost homes in the fires and don’t quite know what they can do to help them.

‘The best thing to do is for those that know someone personally that has been impacted, instead of saying how can I help or call me when you need me, pick something, anything,’ she said.

‘Buy dinner, take over a hug. Just pick something and do it. At this point, there is so much going on to pinpoint what you actually need,’ Saint John added.

The executive-turned-reality star reportedly purchased the 2,501 square foot house for $5.2 million in 2021, according to Redfin and Traded.

She lived in the home with her 15-year-old daughter Lael, whom she raised with her late husband Peter Saint John until his death of cancer in 2015.
