Amanda Bynes was spotted putting her best foot forward as she goes about a major new career move in her life.

The former child star, 38, was pictured out in Los Angeles on Tuesday afternoon dressed casually as she ran her daily errands and scrolled on her phone.

Her sighting in the City of Angels comes just weeks after she held her own successful art show, 15 years after quitting the entertainment business. 

Since ditching Hollywood, Amanda has instead set her sights on a career in fashion and art. 

She was placed under a legal conservatorship by her parents for nine years back in 2010, and has been slowly getting her new career plans off he ground ever since. 

As of late, fans have met the star with overwhelming support off the back of her hosting a pop-up art show in December. Also in attendance were various celebrities including Miley Cyrus’ younger sister, Noah Cyrus.

And just recently, an insider close to the former child star revealed that pursuing a career in art is a ‘tremendous step forward.’

‘This is and was a tremendous step forward for Amanda,’ the source said. 

‘She will be going through her mental health struggles for the rest of her life but to be out and about and share with friends and fans and to be around her latest love, her art was exactly what she needed.’

Fans will recall her highly publicized breakdown in the early 2010s, which led to a string of bizarre tweets, legal troubles and concerning behavior that ultimately resulted in a downward spiral and her conservatorship. 

In 2015, Amanda told Paper Magazine that she had ‘definitely abused Adderall,’ a popular drug to treat ADHD, in hopes of using its stimulant and appeтιтe suppression effects to help her maintain a desired weight. 

The star first pursued fashion and art while attending the Fashion Insтιтute of Design and Merchandising, which she graduated with an ᴀssociate’s of Art degree in 2014. 

The source also shared that the star is ‘happy and relaxed’ as she has made a smaller-scale persona for herself that provides a new form of fulfillment.

‘It was relief and put her mind at ease and she was just happy and relaxed.’ The insider shared. ‘It didn’t start out that way as she was worried about how people would take it, but it was as much of a success that it could possibly be.’

‘She’s hoping to do more of it in the new year, because her returning to acting on an active basis is just not going to happen,’ they added.

In fact, Amanda uses her art as a coping mechanism and she is in a much better place than she has been as of late.

‘People who are close to her are championing her to attack this new world with all of her ability because seeing her happy is amazing,’ the source claimed.

Her recent art show — which showcased her own original works — has drawn praise from fans, with many calling her pop-up and 2014 graduation ‘inspirational.’ 

In a post from her big night, the star appeared to be in good spirits and posed with a male pal. 

One fan penned in the comments, ‘I have followed you for years. And this is the happiest I have seen you. Anytime you speak about your art on your socials your eyes light up in a way I’ve never seen.’

And an attendee chimed in, ‘I really enjoyed your exhibition Amanda!’

‘Keep up the great work being comfortable in your own skin and balancing it with healthy growth! It’s been so lovely to see,’ another added.
