Madonna stirred up the rumor mill with a new post to Instagram on Thursday.
The 66-year-old Grammy winning Rebel Heart singer was seen dining at French restaurant Monsieur Bistro in New York City with a very prominent director.
He was Australian filmmaker Baz Luhrmann, who is best known for is highly entertaining musical dramas Romeo + Juliet, Moulin Rouge! and Gatsby.
Baz was also the director behind the very entertaining Elvis bio movie which starred Austin Butler and received the Best Picture Oscar nomination in 2023.
The pairing of Madonna and Baz over an intimate dinner sparked rumors the two could be working together on a new project.
Madonna seems ripe for a movie about her life, and Baz would be the perfect man to steer the mᴀssive project.
The performer has also been trying for years to get her own bio movie with actress Julia Garner off the ground.

Madonna gave no indication she was meeting with Luhrmann about a movie.
Rather the diva from Michigan said she was in a bad mood so she went to Monsieur on Lexington on the Upper East Side.
‘When you’re feeling down, go to Monsieur,’ she wrote in her caption as Addison Rae hit the like ʙuттon.
It is a fresh take on Parisian café culture, offering classic French dishes with Mediterranean influence, all focused on health-conscious ingredients.
Madonna wore her blonde hair down and had on a black leather coat over a black top with a pair of trousers that were cut to expose a purple skirt.
The Dick Tracy movie star posed for some very arty pH๏τographs. In one image, Baz leaned in closely and touched her face as he appeared to be good pals with the Material Girl.
Also present was Madonna’s current boyfriend Akeem Morris, 28.
Madonna has seemed interested in getting her life story on film.
In 2023 she began working on a biopic about her life called Who’s That Girl, which is a reference to her 1987 film and single of the same name.

The film was development with Diablo Cody first co-writing the screenplay, then тιтled Little Sparrow.
But then Madonna turned her attention to going on tour.
In 2024, Madonna wrote most of the film with Erin Cressida Wilson, it has been reported, and cast Julia Garner of Ozark fame in the lead role.
And Madonna wanted to direct the movie herself.
But it is not certain what the status of the movie is at the moment.
In July, Madonna shared on Instagram that it will take a lot of work to get her bio movie off the ground.
Madonna has already starred in a number of films like Desperately Seeking Susan, Body of Evidence and Dangerous Game.
In December, Madonna teased that she will be releasing new music. The Queen of Pop took to Instagram to reveal that she has been working with producer Stuart Price on new material that is set to be released next year.

In a caption accompanying a video, Madonna wrote: ‘Working on new music with Stuart Price. These past few months has been medicine for my SOUL. ‘Songwriting and making music is the one area where I don’t need to ask anyone for their permission. I’m so excited to share it with you. Who wants to hear new music in 2025?’
The singer collaborated with Price on her acclaimed 2005 album ‘Confessions on a Dance Floor’ as well as her recent Celebration Tour – which is said to have ‘reignited the spark’ for the ‘Holiday’ hitmaker to make new music.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: ‘Stuart was credited with helping Madonna return to form with their ‘Confessions’ album, so for her to start working again with him is hugely exciting.
‘That record was incredible and Madonna is excited about what they can come up with. ‘It has been five years since she released Madame X, which was a concept album and Madonna is ready to put down some new tunes.
‘Working with Stu on her tour reignited the spark. She has fire in her belly and cannot wait to get started.’ Price revealed last year how Madonna had convinced him to get involved in her Celebration Tour that marked her 40 years in music.
He said: ‘When she announced the greatest hits tour I called her just to say, ‘Congratulations, I think this is a great idea.’ ‘And she said, ‘I was just thinking about you, and I thought you’d be the perfect person to work with on this.’ ‘So two weeks later, I went to New York.’

Madonna is in a relationship with Akeem Morris, 28.
She welcomed her daughter Lourdes aka Lola Leon, 28, with fitness trainer Carlos Leon, and then her son Rocco Ritchie, 24, with her ex-husband Guy Ritchie.
Madonna has also adopted four children from Malawi – son David Banda, 19, daughter Mercy James, 18, and twin daughters Stella and Estere, 12.
Akeem, a former college soccer player, first met Madonna in August 2022, though their romance was not confirmed until nearly two years later.
Madonna made their relationship public on Instagram this past July when she posted pH๏τos of them cuddling up to one another on social media.

They reportedly went their separate ways in October 2024, but are said to have reconciled just weeks after they broke up.
Madonna’s first marriage was to Sean Penn from 1985 to 1989, and although they had an infamously tempestuous romance , they have become friends since.
She was then married to Sherlock Holmes director Guy Ritchie from 2000 until 2008, during which time they welcomed Rocco and David Banda.
Madonna allegedly lost at least $76 million in her divorce from Guy, her spokeswoman said at the time – an amount including the value of their country house in England and the West London pub they previously co-owned.
In a YouTube Q&A two years ago, Madonna was asked a decision she made that were ‘maybe’ not ‘the best idea,’ and she replied by citing ‘both’ marriages.
Meanwhile, Guy described his marriage to Madonna by saying he ‘stepped into a soap opera, and I lived in it for quite a long period of my life,’ to Details in 2011.
‘It’s definitely not something I regret. The experience was ultimately very positive. I love the kids that came out of it,’ added the filmmaker.
