Only Connect viewers were left seriously distracted by host Victoria Coren-Mitchell’s striking piece of headwear during Monday’s instalment of the popular BBC Two quiz show.
The TV icon, 52, fronted the show wearing a very unique and ‘distracting’ green feather fascinator on her head.
She teamed the unusual headpiece with a striking red floral dress as she guided teams through the challenging quiz show.
The bold fashion choice quickly caught the attention of fans watching the programme, who took to social media to share their thoughts.
They said: ‘Coren off to a wedding after this?’
‘Looks like an alien character from Star Trek Voyager many years back.’

‘Some bird nest?’
‘Has anyone seen my ᴅᴇᴀᴅ peacock?’
‘Victoria is the epitome of where what he f**k you want.’
Another fan questioned: ‘Has anyone got VCM wearing random headgear on their OC bingo card?’
While a seventh chimed in: ‘Victoria’s toupee is a bit obvs… seriously though, what do we think she or the costume team were thinking?’
It comes after Only Connect viewers were left baffled when they noticed a bizarre change to her appearance halfway through a show earlier this year.
Victoria returned to screens as she welcomed two teams Too Many Cookes vs the Tea Totallers.
But as the presenter read out the clues on her cue card her appearance changed just minutes later and eagle-eyed fans noticed.
In the first few moments Victoria was seen with bright red polish on her nails but when the camera flashed back to her it had been removed.
Fans shared their thoughts on social media, asking if anyone else had noticed the change.
They wrote to X: ‘Hang on, how long does it take to film a show. At the beginning you have red nails and then a few moments later they have gone.’

Others added: ‘Watching #onlyconnect on delay and in Victoria’s intro she has red nails holding the phone, yet later with the question cards, no nail varnish.
‘The viewers of this show are far too observant and analytical to miss something like that continuity!!’; Did anyone else notice Victoria’s nails?’
Victoria also left viewers ‘traumatised’ after making a very crude joke about her BBC co-star Michael Portillo.
She referenced an infamous joke about her having a crush on the former politician and journalist – but while some fans loved the jibe, others think she went ‘too far’.
Ending the show, Victoria said: ‘Coming up next on BBC Two is another episode in that wonderful series sponsored by the RSPB, where celebrities look after birds before handing them on to other celebrities to raise awareness of struggling avian numbers.
‘I have so enjoyed watching big names on BBC Two pᴀssing their feathered dependents on to other presenters, so I decided to join in myself. Tonight, I will be eagerly taking several swallows from Michael Portillo. Goodnight.’

‘#onlyconnect a pretty near the knuckle innuendo by Victoria Coren at the end. I have no problem with that. Innuendo was part of being British. But what is the difference between what VC said & what Greg Wallace said?’
‘Eww @VictoriaCoren I can’t unhear that Portillo gag at the end of #Onlyconnect.’
‘Somewhat traumatised by @VictoriaCoren parting sH๏τ on #OnlyConnect tonight!!
‘Phenomenal Portillo gag in true ISIHAC style at the end of last night’s #OnlyConnect. Kudos, @VictoriaCoren for the ᴅᴇᴀᴅpan delivery.’
