Erika Jayne has made a triumphant return to the stage, once again starring as Roxie Hart in Broadway’s Chicago.
The 53-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills personality originally played the role in 2020 before the coronavirus pandemic halted the scheduled performances.
Erika’s three-week run in the musical, from January 20-February 9, was announced in mid December.

About one month before her turn as Roxie, she reflected on returning to the role five years later.

In an interview with Playbill ahead of her opening night, Erika gushed about the opportunity, ‘Who says “no” to Broadway?!’
And she dished that in this run of the show she’s excited to dig into ‘the nuances, the things that I missed the first time run.’
She explained, ‘I know this is going to sound really silly, but almost like, the placement of the hands,’ before humorously adding, ‘I’ve been thinking about it for five years.’
In the musical, Roxie shoots her boyfriend ᴅᴇᴀᴅ for trying to leave her and lands in jail, where she encounters Velma — who is in prison for murdering her husband and sister after she caught them in an affair.
The two scorned women become rivals as they fight for their lawyer’s attention and over the celebrity status they’ve attained for their crimes.
Referencing her ex-husband, disbarred lawyer Tom Girardi, 85 — who was recently convicted of stealing $15 million from his clients — Jayne noted, ‘Look, I’ve gone through some really interesting personal things in the last five years.’
The reality television star cheekily noted that her personal matters ‘may or may not sort of mirror Roxie’s legal journey.’
