Paris Hilton buys fireman costume for son Phoenix as she gushes about his future after ᴅᴇᴀᴅly LA fires

Paris Hilton revealed that her son Phoenix has aspirations to be a firefighter as she was seen buying him a costume on Monday following the devastating Los Angeles wildfires.

The TV personality, 43 – who recently returned to her Beverly Hills mansion after being evacuated nearly two weeks earlier – opened up about the topic of her son’s possible future career while talking to TMZ.

The star shares the two-year-old as well as daughter London, one, with husband Carter Reum – whom she tied the knot with in 2021.

While carrying Phoenix in her arms upon exiting a shop, she was approached by the outlet and asked what her eldest child wants to be when he ‘grows up.’

Hilton – who lost her Malibu beach home in the fires – held a small smile on her face as she glanced down at her son and replied, ‘He wants to be a fireman.’

Phoenix could also be seen clutching a red firetruck in his hand as they began walking towards an awaiting car in front of the restaurant.

Paris also reflected on the catastrophic fires that began on January 7 in the Pacific Palisades – with the death toll currently at 27.

Between the Palisades and Eaton Fire in Altadena, around 15,467 structures have been destroyed as of Monday, per the Los Angeles Times.

Hilton notably lost her Malibu beach home to the flames and documented her return to the charred remains after she saw the residence ‘burn to the ground on live TV.’

‘I’m just heartbroken for everybody who has lost everything. The families, the children, animals…it’s just been heartbreaking to see what’s happened to California,’ Paris told TMZ.

Paris and her family also took in a foster dog, Zuzu – which she revealed on Instagram last week.

At the time, she had shared that the ‘family unfortunately had to surrender him after their home was destroyed in the wildfires.’

And on Monday, the singer gave an update about Zuzu and revealed that she plans to adopt the adorable pup.

‘His family had to surrender him because they lost their home to the fire in Altadena, and I was fostering him this past week and we’ve all just fallen in love with him so we’re gonna adopt him.’

The mother-of-two then encouraged people to volunteer at shelters and gave a special shout out to the Pasadena Humane Society.

Paris has been praised for her volunteer work with the shelter – and recently shared a video of herself with a cat that was separated from its owners amid the fires.

She also shared the cat’s ID number and the location the feline was found in order to help the pet reunite with its family.

Hilton was also asked if she plans on rebuilding her Malibu home and she replied that her husband Carter ‘will be dealing with all of that.’

Paris also shared that she is ‘sending so much love’ to her close friend Heidi Montag and husband Spencer Pratt who also lost their home in the blazes.

‘I’m so heartbroken for them and their family and what they’re going through. But it’s amazing to see everyone supporting her and her music. And I’m really proud of her.’

At the end of the interview, Hilton also teased that she could possibly perform at the upcoming FireAid benefit concert which will take place later this month on January 30.

Just one day earlier on Sunday, Paris was able to return to her Beverly Hills mansion that was still standing after being evacuated amid the devastating fires.

The star filmed the moment as she walked through the front door of the home while carrying her son Phoenix.

The home seemingly was untouched and Christmas decorations could still be seen throughout the interior.

‘We’re home honey,’ Hilton told her little one, and added, ‘Look at your tree still here. All of your trees are still here. Santa’s still here.’

In the caption, the actress wrote, ‘Even in tough times, I wanted to keep the Christmas trees up for my #CutesieCrew as a little sparkle of hope.’

‘The wildfires have been so devastating, but staying strong together is what matters most. Sending so much love to everyone affected – you’re in my heart.’

Shortly before, Paris uploaded a reel as she took a ‘mindful moment’ with her son and her puppies.

Phoenix could be seen sleeping on a couch while wrapped in a warm blanket and surrounded by two adorable dogs.

In text added towards the bottom, the DJ wrote, ‘Take a moment to relax with sleepy Pheeny, Diamond and Baby.’

Last week on Tuesday, Hilton took to social media to reveal that she raised $800K in only 72 hours through the emergency fund set up by her nonprofit 11:11 Media Impact.

And a few days after the L.A. fires began, Paris made an emotional return to the charred remains of her Malibu beach house that was destroyed in the Palisades blaze.

She had purchased the two-story residence in 2021 for $8.4 million – and once led down to La Costa beach.

Paris shared a heartbreaking video to her Instagram page as she discovered what was left of the property and got candid about being left in ‘complete shock.’

She filmed the clip while walking through the remains of the entrance which was still standing, but then revealed that the rest of the house had been reduced to a pile of rubble after being destroyed in the Pacific Palisades fire.

Paris wrote, ‘I’m standing here in what used to be our home, and the heartbreak is truly indescribable.’

‘When I first saw the news, I was in complete shock – I couldn’t process it. But now, standing here and seeing it with my own eyes, it feels like my heart has shattered into a million pieces.’

The star expressed that the home ‘wasn’t just a place to live – It was where we dreamed, laughed, and created the most beautiful memories as a family.’

‘It was where Phoenix’s little hands made art that I’ll cherish forever, where love and life filled every corner. To see it reduced to ashes… it’s devastating beyond words.’

Hilton added that her heart continues to break ‘knowing that this isn’t just my story.’

‘So many people have lost everything. It’s not just walls and roofs – it’s the memories that made those houses homes. It’s the pH๏τos, the keepsakes, the irreplaceable pieces of our lives.’

But despite dealing with ‘pain’ over losing the home, Paris shared that she still felt ‘incredibly lucky’ and added, ‘My loved ones, my babies, and my pets are safe.’

‘That’s the most important thing, and I’m holding onto that graтιтude with everything I have. And beyond grateful to all the the fire fighters, first responders and volunteers risking their lives to fight these fires.’

Paris wrote that the ‘love, prayers and kindness’ she has received reminded her that ‘there is still beauty in this world.’

‘And to everyone going through this pain, please know you’re not alone. We’re in this together. We will rebuild, we will heal, and we will rise stronger than before…’

The modern property had three bedrooms, three bathrooms and floor-to-ceiling windows.

Some of the wall at the front entrance still stands while the rest of the home has been completely burned in pH๏τos of the wreckage.

Beforehand, Paris had shared an emotional post to express that she saw the Malibu home burn on live TV.
