Limitless Win viewers fumed at a couple’s response to a ‘very easy’ question during an episode this week.
Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly host the show which sees contestants answering questions in a bid to win as much money as they can, with no limit to the amount of money they can have in the pot.
For each correct or near answer they’ll progress in the compeтιтion, but if they get the answer over by just one, they could crash out of the compeтιтion and potentially lose thousands of already banked cash.
Viewers were left irritated after Saturday night’s episode which starred two A&E nurses, Karis and Tim.
One of their questions was: ‘How many words are there in the NATO phonetic alphabet?’.
Instead of a quick-fire response, Karis proceeded to recite the entire set phonetically, one word at a time as viewers asked: ‘Was that really necessary!?’

They did eventually give the correct answer of 26 that didn’t stop fans from taking to social media to air their grievances about their long-winded process.
Many pointed out that the pair could have simply counted the number of letters in the alphabet to get the answer, rather than recount every single phonetic word.
They penned on X: ‘That’s a very easy start – why she trying to remember letters?’.
‘Anyone who takes that long to work out how many letters there are in the alphabet doesn’t deserve the money.’,
‘Was counting the letters in the alphabet really necessary?’,
’26 letters – 26 words…’,
‘I swear the contestants on #limitlesswin just overthink every question.’
It comes after a married Bristol couple made history on Ant and Dec’s Limitless Win as the biggest win of the series scooping a prize of £250,000 on last Sunday’s episode.
Filmmaker Dan, 37, and textile artist Sarah, 35, joined the presenting duo on the primetime ITV1 entertainment quiz show.

The couple – who share two children – chose to use their lifeline to help them with the question: ‘To the nearest centimetre, what is the length of a Johnson’s Baby Cotton Bud?’
The Take Two lifeline allows contestants to come up with their own answer and for Ant and Dec to suggest another, with the guess closest to the correct number without going over it counting as the final answer.

Eventually, the pair locked in their answer of five, giving Ant and Dec thirty seconds to come up with their answer.
They shared their verdict before reaching their decision of eight – which turned out to be an exact answer, earning the lucky couple the eye-watering prize.
At the end of Sarah and Dan’s play, Ant and Dec congratulated the couple with Ant adding: ‘I’m so thrilled for the pair of you – this is wonderful, amazing’, while Dec echoed: ‘Just look at that … £250,000!’
Ant and Dec’s Limitless Win sees pairs of contestants limitlessly climb the cash ladder until they run out of lives or decide to cash out.
Contestants are faced with general knowledge questions that all have numerical answers, and if they get the exact figure, they can lock in that cash amount.
