Zara McDermott has showed her support for ex-boyfriend Sam Thompson’s latest reel amid their shock split.

It was revealed by MailOnline the Zara and Sam had split last month after five years together with Zara recently revealing has has moved out of their Chelsea home. 

But despite their break-up, Zara ‘liked’ the Made in Chelsea star’s new video, which also revealed who her Instagram replacement was.

During their five year romance, Zara often joined Sam in his humorous reels and adverts, with the Love Island stunner often the victim of her ex beau’s pranks.

However, while Sam’s best pal Pete Wicks – who regularly joins in the fun – makes an appearance in the clip, Sam’s mum Karen has seemingly been drafted in to replace Zara.

Taking on a role which would likely have been filled by Zara had the pair still been together, Karen is seen sitting across the table from an unseen Pete while a suspicious Sam spies on them.

The silly skit then shows Karen and Pete seemingly flirting up a storm as they reach out to hold hands across the table.

In what seems like the beginning of a steamy affair, Pete asks Karen: ‘why haven’t we done this before?’, to which she replies: ‘I don’t know, but I’m so excited!’

‘It’s going to taste so good, get me some more!’

Pete then says: ‘I’ll sort it out, it’s our secret’, as she seductively responds: ‘It’s our H๏τ secret, Pete!’

The scene then cuts to a horrified Sam shaking and breaking into a sweat behind the door, horrified at what his mother and best friend could be up to.

Building up the courage to confront them, he then bursts through the door yelling: ‘Get away from my mum!’, only to be met with the two of them enjoying a bowl of Heinz tomato soup.

Pete then innocently tells him: ‘We’re just having some soup mate, I didn’t think it would be your thing?’

The scene then ends with Sam pulling out his own spoon and asking: ‘Room for one more?’

Captioning his fun post, Sam penned: ‘I knew she fancied him.

‘Who would have known that my mum and Pete would have kept this secret from me. I don’t blame them for gatekeeping, as @heinz_ukTomato Soup is sooo good! It is basically comfort in a bowl. I wish I knew about it sooner…’

Zara’s apparent support for her ex comes after Sam opened up about the recent break up to pal Pete Wicks on the latest episode of their podcast Staying Relevant.

Strictly star Pete asked Sam ‘What’s been going on?’ in regard to the news of his relationship.

Sam admitted it has been a ‘real tough month’ managing the break-up as he opened up to Pete and listeners.

He said: ‘It was tough. It’s been a tough month. A real tough month.’

Hours before the podcast was released, Zara appeared to confirm she’s moved out of the home she shared with ex Sam, as she gave her fans a glimpse at her busy day on TikTok.

The TV personality documented her latest day filming for Morning Live which started with Zara getting an early start in her new home. 

Zara and Sam began dating in 2019 after Made In Chelsea star Sam slid into her DMs on Instagram. 

But it was reported over New Year’s that the pair had recently parted ways – though neither have publicly commented on the break-up.
