Jamie told the publication: ‘We had moments when it was easier than others. Our last week when we left the show was a very difficult week.
‘If we had have got through that week, it would have been next to impossible. We made the best out of it, we worked so hard together and we got through it.’
Fans were left furious after Jamie and his professional partner Michelle Tsiakkas left the compeтιтion and they criticised the judges’ decisions to ‘constantly down-mark’ the actor.
Although he was gracious in his defeat, viewers of the show were left seething at the decision to send Jamie home and complained they were ‘absolutely gutted’ that the actor was booted off before the quarter finals.
But, Jamie also admitted that since ending his stint on the programme, he’s never been too far from Michelle.
He told the newspaper: ‘We haven’t left each others side since we got out. I haven’t missed her because we have spoke everyday.’
And now the duo are heading on the Strictly Live Tour together, meaning they will be spending even more time in each other’s company.
