In Thursday night’s recoupling, Ronnie chose to couple up with Elma despite causing a stir after kissing Kaz Crossley in the secret garden.
In the upcoming episode, Ronnie pulls Elma over for a chat and apologises for making her upset once again.
Ronnie says: ‘It took me by surprise but also it made me realise how well we got on and I’m at an age now where I need to grow up.’
Elma adds: ‘I put you and Kaz on a pedestal and more fool me, I felt mugged off.’
Ronnie replies: ‘I like the way things are going with me and you, it was a road bump, I don’t know what you’re feeling but here and now I do enjoy being around you, I am sorry about how everything happened.’

Elma appreciates the apology adding: ‘Like you said it’s a hurdle in the road…what do you call it? Is it a hurdle?’
Ronnie jokes: ‘I could jump a hurdle! Road bump.’
Elma adds: ‘Road bump that’s it, it’s just a road bump, it’s not the be all and end all.’
Ronne agrees: ‘Hopefully we can start fresh!’
Kaz and Elma had a furious row after Ronnie kissed them both within minutes.

Later when Ronnie pulled Elma to apologise, he said that Kaz initiated the kiss, before adding it was ‘half and half’.
As the rest of the Islanders discuss it, Nas told Ronnie: ‘You shouldn’t have done it so soon after kissing Elma, I think that’s where you’ve gone wrong.’
Luca added: ‘It’s just the timing was one after the other, Elma and Kaz are friends on the outside.’
