Later that same year when Leo was born, Palmer applied for sole custody, claiming in November 2023 that her ex had physically abused her on several occasions.
Since then, she revealed that she and Jackson are on better terms while co-parenting Leo and share joint custody, according to her book Master of Me.
In August 2024, Palmer opened up about her connection with her son and said she tries to take Leo ‘every-single-where I go’ to maintain the ‘closeness’ she has with him.
‘The grace of a career like mine — and, obviously, his age — is just that he can be with me,’ Palmer told People last year.
‘So I’m grateful for that. I think I wanna just continue to be able to just do that and have him with me and do things together and make sure that he feels part of my life and sees what I’m doing.’
