Fans were first introduced to the influencer’s mum on the show, when the Islanders were surprised in the villa by members of their family in the lead-up to the final.

Debbie, 58, and Molly-Mae’s elder sister Zoe, 27, both jetted off to Mallorca, where they met Tommy Fury for the first time.

Since then, Debbie has made several cameos on her famous daughter’s social media and vlogs and is set to appear in her upcoming docuseries, Molly-Mae: Behind It All.

And in recent years she’s enjoyed an incredible fitness transformation, tied the knot for the second time in a romantic ceremony and become a first time grandmother with the arrival of Molly-Mae’s daughter Bambi, 23 months.

Ahead of her appearance in Molly-Mae’s docuseries on Friday, MailOnline takes a look at everything you need to know about Debbie.

Debbie still resides in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, which is where Molly-Mae and Zoe grew up.

She previously had a career as a police officer, which Molly-Mae’s dad Stephen Hague, also worked as.

During her appearance on The Diary Of A CEO podcast, Molly-Mae voiced her pride for her parents’ careers, even as a child.

She explained: ‘Both parents were in the police, so that was interesting growing up. [That’s] something else that I’m really proud of actually, having two parents that are police officers because I quite liked it at school; being known as the police officers’ kid.’

When the reality star was around 14-year-old, Debbie and Stephen announced they were splitting up, which she has admitted left her ‘heartbroken as her ‘greatest fear had come true’.

In recent years, she’s admitted that she isn’t a big fan of Christmas, saying she thinks her apathy towards the holiday was likely rooted in her parents’ divorce.

Speaking to her fans about her lack of festive spirit, Molly-Mae explained: ‘Sadly, I do think it kind of stems from my parents being divorced.

‘It’s a little different when your family isn’t all together. I know this is the case for so many people. Christmas always brings up such mixed memories for me.’

But in a 2023 vlog, she expressed her graтιтude that both Debbie and Stephen still got along very well, so that they could do things together as a family.

She said: ‘I am in a really unique position where my divorced parents are still friends and I’m so lucky for that. They still get on we have a little group chat where we all talk and give each other advice. 

‘I think it’s incredibly grown up, like how amazing that they can put their differences aside for the sake of me and my sister and also just for the sake of life’s short and holding grudges gets you absolutely nowhere. 

‘I just love that we can all still be friends and do family things together with my parents’ new partners, who they’re both so happy with.’

Debbie went on to find love with Jon Rayner in around 2015, with the pair going on to tie the knot seven years later.

He popped the question while Molly was in the Love Island villa, with Debbie revealing the happy news and her sparkling engagement ring during the family episode.

Two years later, Debbie and Jon said ‘I do’ in July 2021 in a romantic ceremony, with Molly-Mae and Zoe serving as bridesmaids in matching navy blue gowns designed by fashion retailer PrettyLittleThing.

In 2023, she headed to a luxury fitness and weight loss bootcamp in Ibiza, where she tackled everything from battle ropes to boxing, and even took a dip in a ice bath.

And her efforts have definitely paid off, with Debbie showing off her toned figure in snaps and sharing her workout statistics to her followers.

In May last year, she showed her incredible fitness as she took part in the Hyrox race, which combines running with weight training.

She completed the gruelling challenge in just under two hours, which her fitness fanatic daughter Zoe gushed was ‘unbelievable’ as she shared her mum ‘couldn’t do a burpee six weeks ago’.

And just last month, the duo took on Hyrox again together, with the mother and daughter team finishing at an impressive time of 01:37:35, shaving off 20 minutes.

After leaving the villa in 2019, Molly-Mae has carved out an incredibly successful career and is said to be worth a whopping £6million thanks to her numerous business ventures.

Molly-Mae has previously got candid about how Debbie turned to alcohol to cope with the pain of her marriage to Stephen breaking down.

The Maebe founder admitted that the experience ‘sort of explains’ why she avoids drinking very often or going on boozy nights out as an adult.

Writing in her 2022 memoir, Becoming Molly-Mae, she confessed: ‘The period after my parents split was really, really hard.’

She recalled how Debbie began going on nights out and dating websites, like she was ‘playing catch-up in terms of what she missed out on’.

Molly-Mae wrote: ‘In that first year after the divorce, Mum really struggled. For a very short while just after the divorce, she turned to alcohol to cope with the pain of the breakdown of their marriage.

‘Which sort of explains why I am the way I am with alcohol – I pretty much avoid it.’

She went on: ‘I ᴀssociate these difficult times after my parents’ divorce with alcohol being involved and my mum drinking too much – understandably, because her marriage had broken down.’

She candidly confessed feeling a ‘kind of role reversal’ during that time, as she felt like she had to look after her mum instead of the other way around.

But Molly-Mae went on to explain that things did ‘calm down’ and now she and Debbie have a ‘super close relationship’, with her mum being one of the only members inside her super-small inner circle.

It comes after her ex-fiancé Tommy finally detailed the reasons why he and Molly split in August, saying it was because he had become dependent on alcohol following a boxing injury. 

Elsewhere in her book, she explained how her aversion to booze had caused clashes between her and Tommy, as she admitted their biggest rows were over his love of drinking and partying.

She wrote that the boxer’s desire to have wild boozy nights out with his friends a few times a year caused arguments, as she has ‘anxiety around alcohol and the things I’ve seen it do to the people around me’.

While expressing her dreams for Molly’s career, Debbie added: ‘In the future, I would love to see her in a presenting role on TV. I would like her to use her platform to be a good role model for young women.’
