Maisie Smith couldn’t wipe the smile off her face as she celebrated the end of her pantomime run on Wednesday.

The actress, 23, took to Instagram with a collection of snaps from her time making her pantomime debut in Beauty And The Beast at the Marlowe Theatre in Kent.

Beaming in the snaps, Maisie embraced her inner princess in the iconic Belle dress as she wrote: ‘PANTO-BURY. So much LOVE & GRAтιтUDE to all of these fabulous individuals. Wonderful memories I’ll never forget’.

The star also shared behind the scenes snaps from the cast and crew after the show’s successful run.

Maisie will no doubt be heading back to look after her boyfriend Max George as he continues to recover from his shock heart surgery over Christmas.

The Wanted star, 36, had a pacemaker fitted after being admitted to hospital in December for an undisclosed heart condition.

Maisie will no doubt be heading back to look after her Max as he continues to recover from his shock heart surgery over Christmas

After a lengthy stay, he was discharged on Christmas Day and spent the holidays with Maisie before visiting his mum Barbara in Salford, Greater Manchester.

However, his woes aren’t completely over as the singer revealed earlier this week he is facing another terrifying health concern, just weeks after undergoing the emergency heart surgery.

Max shared that he could be forced to have another operation on his lungs, as doctors need to investigate enlarged lymph nodes in that area.

Speaking to The Sun On Sunday, the pop star explained that he will have a biopsy as doctors try and determine the cause of his heart problems.

He said: ‘The doctors have discovered enlarged lymph nodes on my lungs. This could be a sign of what caused my heart problems.

‘I’ve got to have a lung biopsy in a couple of weeks. It sounds pretty gnarly. It might tell us what the cause was.’

Despite this, Max seemed to be in high spirits he wrapped up warm for his latest outing in a neon orange and red jacket.

He teamed the bold coat with a pair of black trousers and a matching beanie, with his pitbull Albert also dressing for the weather in a camoflauge jacket of his own.

Max previously revealed that he made the heartbreaking decision to write a will after fearing he’d die ahead of his heart operation.

The performer opened up about the crippling fear he’d felt being on a ward surrounded by patients at least 30 years his senior, and told how he’d left instructions on his iPhone in case he didn’t make it.

The Glad You Came hitmaker told how being told he needed a pacemaker as the bottom half of his heart wasn’t working properly made him realise what his ‘responsibilities’ were as he thought about the loved ones he’d be leaving behind if he pᴀssed.

Recalling that ‘really scary’ and sleepless first night in hospital, Max told how he was ‘struggling to move’ and battled a number of other symptoms including a тιԍнтness in his throat and having deep, slow breaths.

Two days after writing his will, Max was thrown into panic once again after his heart rate and blood pressure dropped, with the star admitting it was the ‘worst day; during his hospital stay.

He shared: ‘It was quite close that night, it really felt like my neck was closing up and that’s when the sort of panic really kicked in. I felt like I was dying. It was the worst, I felt emotional.’

Luckily for Max, his pacemaker got fitted exactly a week after being admitted to hospital, with the singer conscious throughout the surgery, though heavily sedated.

He also remembered the ‘grim’ sight of the surgeon’s hand covered in blood as he pulled his hands away, though he was also ‘excited’ at the thought of finally being on the mend.

He said: ‘I had a proper heartbeat by then as well. My heart rate started just shooting up. So I remember feeling my feet going tingly, because I think obviously the blood started to properly pump around. I was like, ‘Holy s, I feel alive again,’ like it was a really nice feeling.’

Though it was Maisie, who had left her panto duties and dashed up north to be by his side, it was actually Max’s mother Babs who had ‘saved his life’ thanks to her quick-thinking.

Max had been staying with the healthcare worker, 63, in Manchester at the time he began to feel ill, with the former footballer feeling lethargic, freezing cold and suffered with blue hands.

Though Max didn’t think it was anything ‘serious’ at the time, it was Babs who had made the decision for him to go to the GP.

After being sent home, Babs later insisted that they call a doctor friend for a second opinion, who informed them that Max needed to head to A&E.

Taking to Instagram, the musician shared a clip of him walking slowly on the treadmill as he works towards getting his fitness levels back post surgery.

Max appeared in good spirits and turned to give the camera a thumbs up.

The star feared he would be spending Christmas in hospital, however he was able to return home where he was reunited with girlfriend Maisie.

Taking to Instagram with a reflective post at the end of the year, Max penned: ‘2024.. Certainly a year I won’t forget!

‘So lucky to have the life that I have. I can’t wait for the next chapter, no matter what challenges lie ahead.’

Meanwhile the star also revealed that he was experiencing a ‘flicking feeling’ in his chest following his surgery.

Taking to his Instagram Stories on New Year’s Eve, Max revealed he was experiencing a strange feeling in his chest and doctor’s aren’t sure yet what it is.

The star asked his followers if they have ever experienced the same thing as he sought advice ahead of a check-up.

 WHAT IS A PACEMAKER?

A pacemaker is a small, battery-powered device that prevents the heart from beating too slowly.

Surgery is needed to install it and the operation is generally carried out under local anaesthetic

Around 50,000 people are fitted with a pacemaker every year in the UK, according to the British Heart Foundation
