Monica Barbaro turned heads on Wednesday evening, as she stepped out in a very daring outfit for dinner in Paris, following the French premiere of A Complete Unknown.

The actress, 34, who portrays Joan Baez in the film, put on a racy display in a see-through black dress that flashed a glimpse of her ɴuᴅᴇ underwear.

Adding even more drama to her look, Monica opted to go braless underneath, while wrapping her black coat around her to preserve her modesty.

She displayed her chic style credentials by accessorising with a tiny cream handbag and minimal jewellery, sporting only a small pair of gold hoop earrings.

The Top Gun: Maverick star gave herself a few extra inches with a pair of strappy high heels and swept her hair back to show off her radiant good looks.

Her outing in the capital came after she joined the star-studded A Complete Unknown cast on the red carpet at the film’s French premiere earlier that evening.

Monica cut an ethereal figure in floaty champagne-coloured gown covered in layers of elegant tulle that wrapped across her chest and shoulders.

She posed alongside her co-stars Timothée Chalamet and Edward Norton, as well as the film’s director, James Mangold.

The movie follows the early career of Bob Dylan – played by Timothée – including his his transition from folk to rock and his performance at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival. 

Timothée’s co-stars recently revealed the extreme lengths he went to on the set of A Complete Unknown as he channeled his entire focus into playing the legendary folk artist.

Sharing her experience, Monica said that she was still able to interact with Timothée in between filming but he did remain ‘in his own world.’

She insisted: ‘It wasn’t so full-on. It wasn’t “Don’t look him in the eye” or anything like that. We said “hi,” gave each other a hug. I was like, “I just saw Dune!”

‘[But Timothée did stay] in his own world [on set] in a way that I think Bob often was as well. And it was actually really conducive to the dynamic between Bob and Joan.’

Prior to award-buzzy film A Complete Unknown, Monica was best known for playing the character Lt. Natasha “Phoenix” Trace in the highly-anticipated Top Gun: Maverick.

The actress has also appeared in Chicago Justice, Chicago P.D., Lethal Weapon, Stumptown, The Cathedral, I’m Charlie Walker and At Midnight.

In November, she revealed she had got her start doing commercials, where she admitted she had her worst audition experiences.

She recalled that on the set of the first advert she ever did, she was told to trim her long eyelashes, and how it taught her a lesson about trusting her gut.

Monica reveled: ‘I remembered this the other day, the weirdest advice I ever got was the very first commercial thing I ever sH๏τ. 

‘There was a woman doing my makeup, and she told I had really long eyelashes, and I should probably trim them.

‘I didn’t take it like that. I mean, I was just like, “Oh, okay.” And then in my mind I was like, “I’m not going to do that.” 

‘And sometimes I just think it’s like when you hear advice that you’re just not sure of and you’re like, I don’t know, just trust that instinct. You could be told to do crazy s**t like cut all your eyelashes off’.

Despite her challenging experiences working on commercials, she insisted she has no regrets as ‘its a rite of pᴀssage and also it’s a great way to earn money.’

She added: ‘I mean, it kept me afloat while I was trying to do an actual TV show. I don’t think I realized how rough they were until I started working in film and TV and then I went back to one and I was like, “Oh, this is brutal.”‘
