Disney+ users give rave reviews on new action series after futuristic trailer is released: ‘Delightfully brutal’

The action-packed teaser trailer for Daredevil: Born Again was released by Marvel Television on Wednesday.

Many fans gave raving reviews and shared their excitement for the highly-anticipated, forthcoming release in response to the teaser.

The upcoming series, which stars Charlie Cox as Daredevil and wrapped production in New York City last year in the spring of 2024, will premiere on March 4 on Disney+.

Fans of Marvel took to X, formerly Twitter, to share high praise for the futuristic trailer, calling the sneak peek of the show ‘delightfully brutal’ and ‘absolutely phenomenal.’

The beginning of the trailer — which also includes the late Kamar de los Reyes in his last role before his death over a year ago — starts off strong as Daredevil is already in the midst of a battle and has already taken down a bad guy.

Then, Matt Murdock, attorney by day and vigilante by night, is seen sitting in a diner with Wilson Fisk, portrayed by Vincent D’Onofrio, as they take a break from their alter egos as Daredevil and crime lord Kingpin, respectively.

‘Thank you for finding the time,’ Matt says to the now-mayor of New York City set in the future of the superhero revival series.

‘Well, I will admit,’ Mayor Fisk replies. ‘It’s not entirely unpleasant seeing you again.’

‘A lot of time has pᴀssed. By the look of it, you’ve come up in the world,’ he tells Matt with palpable tension lurking in their conversation.

A flashback scene shows actors Debora Ann Woll and Elden Henson reprising their fan-favorite roles as their characters Karen Page and Foggy Nelson, respectively, returning to the screen and reuniting with Matt.

‘I could say the same about you,’ he replies tersely.

‘A mayor serves his city. I can see you’re not entirely convinced,’ Fisk says as he attempts to defend his actions.

During their conversation, scenes of Matt witnessing violent attacks throughout the city flash across the scene.

‘Can you blame me? I can’t shake the feeling that you’re gaming the system,’ Matt responds.

In between a quick-paced compilation of gritty and intense action sH๏τs, words flash across the screen, teasing the vigilante’s long-awaited return: ‘The devil’s work is never done.’

In one sH๏τ, he walks into an empty courtroom, signaling a long-awaited return before a scene of him getting attacked by Frank Castle for a cameo of Jon Bernthal reprising his role as The Punisher.

At the very last moment before Matt was about to be on the end of a fatal swing with a sharp weapon, he yelled out: ‘Frank! You mind putting the hatchet down?’

Frank paused, recognizing his voice, but after a second, he tries to swing the hatchet at him again.

‘I was raised to believe in grace,’ Matt tells the mayor in another cutscene from the diner. ‘But I was also raised to believe in retribution.’
