Jen Shah’s fans were buzzing after news broke that the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City alum would be released earlier than expected, thanks to her prison sentence being slashed for the third time.
The 51-year-old former reality star, currently serving time at Bryan Federal Prison Camp in Texas – where she’s apparently bonding with Theranos fraud queen Elizabeth Holmes – is now set to be released on November 3, 2026, per Page Six.
Back in February 2023, Jen—mom of two— began serving her 78 months behind bars for ‘running a nationwide telemarketing fraud scheme,’ which primarily targeted elderly and vulnerable people.
But despite the seriousness of her crime, her fans wasted no time in celebrating the news of her sentence reduction.
One tweeted, ‘Free Jen Shah means you’re upholding the United States Consтιтution,’ while another wrote, ‘The only thing the Justice System can get right.’
Yet another joked, ‘Oh, so the judges reducing Jen Shah’s sentence are REALLY big fans of #RHOSLC.’

As for a possible RHOSLC return, fans are already weighing in.
One predicted, ‘Oh, she’s def coming back to RHOSLC,’ while another wasn’t so keen, writing, ‘Honestly, we don’t want her back. Her ‘reality’ isn’t compelling, and it feels like we’ve closed that chapter and moved on. Case closed.’

In March 2021, Jen was hit with charges of conspiracy to commit money laundering and wire fraud for her role in a telemarketing scheme that defrauded elderly and vulnerable individuals.
She maintained her innocence throughout 2022 and during the RHOSLC Season 2 reunion.
Her former ᴀssistant and co-conspirator, Stuart Smith, pled guilty in November 2021, and Shah followed suit, changing her plea to guilty in July 2022.
In February 2023, she began serving her prison sentence and was also ordered to pay a hefty $6.5 million in resтιтution.
Just two months later, in March 2023, her release date was moved up by a full year, now set for August 30, 2028.

Back in February 2023, Jen—mom of two— began serving her 78 months behind bars for ‘running a nationwide telemarketing fraud scheme,’ which primarily targeted elderly and vulnerable people
But in October, it got bumped up again, this time by more than eight months, to December 19, 2027.
Jen’s arrest was famously captured on camera during the filming of RHOSLC’s second season, with her entire journey to prison documented for the show.
Since then, she’s kept fans in the loop through updates posted on her website, Dear Jen Shah, which acts as a digital diary.
In December, her team shared a fresh update, reᴀssuring fans that Jen is ‘doing very well’ and focused on ‘personal self’ work while at FPC Bryan.
They also mentioned she’s working hard on her ‘journey towards positive rehabilitation.’
Her team confirmed that she recently spoke with co-star Meredith Marks on the phone, a conversation Meredith had revealed during an episode of Watch What Happens Live.
‘Jen has indeed spoken with Meredith Marks (co-star), and the conversation was extremely positive,’ her team wrote. ‘She loves Meredith and appreciates her friendship and support during this time.’
While serving time, Jen has stayed busy.
Shah is locked up in the same facility as Theranos fraudster Elizabeth Holmes, and have been pictured together on the premises
‘Jen is currently focused on her next holiday beauty showcase within FPC Bryan Prison and continues to send love to her family, fans, and friends who continuously message her in support,’ her team shared.
‘She is thankful for everyone who continues to pray and uphold her in a positive light.’
In an interesting twist, Jen happens to share a prison camp with Holmes, the infamous Theranos founder.
Holmes is serving an 11-year sentence for fraud and conspiracy related to false claims about her blood-testing technology, which promised to revolutionize medical testing using just a tiny drop of blood from a finger prick.
