Carolyn Murphy –  top model of the 1990s – has lost her home in the LA fires.

The looker took to Instagram to share the sad news that her Pacific Palisades house went up in flames last week.

The Vogue cover girl also revealed that she watched the fires approach from her RING camera outside her house.

So she got to see the pad reduced to rubble in real time, which was anxiety provoking.

‘One week ago today, at exactly this time…,’ she began her caption to the Instagram post. ‘I have felt a myriad of emotions, mostly overwhelmed, sad, displaced and helpless. 

‘We still can’t return to the neighborhood as it is unsafe and even more sad is, there were people who were unable to escape their homes and lost their lives.’

Her pal Christy Turlington said in the comments section: ‘Oh Carolyn, I’m so sorry!!!! Sending you and everyone who have lost so much my love. ❤️’ Joan Smalls, Candice Swanepoel and Hailey Bieber also showed support.

Murphy also said: ‘I’m grieving for every family and animal, it is a collective tragedy that is not easy to overcome when the visual of destruction is staring back at you all over the media.’

She then went deeper as she touched on the ‘foolishness of humanity.’

The Calvin Klein model said: ‘Our selfishness, how we take from each other and destroy nature. We complain as if global warming were some enтιтy, yet we are responsible and whatever is in the path of mother natures way of coping, is our cross to bear.’

She then noted that there has been’ finger pointing in every which way’ over the fires.

‘I’ve seen and heard it all. I’ve seen the videos of arsonists. I’ve seen the pH๏τo of the empty reservoir in my neighborhood. I’ve watched the politicians speak (or not), battle it out and try to explain away. I’ve gone down the rabbit hole in a fair share of supposed conspirital theories and then some,’ said the star.

And she has seen the good: the selflessness and coming together. 

‘She is proud of the ‘fearless firefighters and first responders.’

‘I’ve watched the incredible videos of the “scooper” planes, in awe of the pilots, the helicopters sweeping the mountainsides. I’ve seen animals being carried in the arms of strangers, horses untethered to freedom, dogs and cats miraculously appear from rubble. I’ve watched the reporters hold back tears, standing in the wrath of a scene they’d like to cut from real life,’ noted Murphy.

She then said she was exhausted: ‘I’m tired and I’m not interested in trying to find answers right now, nor add any negativity to what myself, and lot of people, are already experiencing.’

And not she is ‘trying to accept what is and find ways to embrace others, to get to work in helping those in need.’

Carolyn wants to focus on the ‘core values of love, compᴀssion, kindness.’

Murphy was a major 1990s model.

She often posed topless as she did for the DKNY Spring 1996 Ready to Wear Runway Show in 1995 in New York City. She also sizzled in Estee Lauder makeup ads.

And she still gets plenty of work today.

When chatting up her new cover of Marie Claire earlier this year, she commented on her looks in an Instagram caption.

‘The catch all about getting older, and much of one’s perspective on life in general, is a lot of it is in the mind!’ wrote the pal of Kate Moss.

She added, ‘We are more powerful than we give ourselves credit for.’

Murphy then focused on 50: ‘I turned 50 this past summer and I can honestly say I’ve never felt more excited about this next phase of my life.’

Jennifer Aniston, Charisma Carpenter and Brooklyn Decker liked the post. 

She continued: ‘People ask me “what’s your secret” to aging and my answer is never linear and we all know that what works for one, might not work for another.’

Last year she was seen co-hosting the Estee Lauder Re-Nutriv Dinner with Harrods in London

She then admitted that she has her own tricks in her beauty bag.

‘Yes I have access to the best potions and health hacks but it’s so much more than that,’ said the Vogue model.

She did not name her ‘potions’ but the Estee Lauder model has said in the past she uses Cetaphil and the Weleda Almond Soothing Cleansing Lotion. 

She also told Vogue in 2017 that she loves bone broth, eats a ton of vegetables and also has healthy snacks like almond ʙuттer. 

And she is an avid surfer.

Turns out she goes out of her way to make herself happy, too. ‘I will say that the obvious answers aside, taking care of my mental and emotional state has always been a priority,’ admitted Carolyn.

And she still gets plenty of work today as she maintains her youthful looks with hard work

She got her start in the 1990s. 

In 1998, Murphy was named VH1/Vogue’s Model of the Year.

And she tried out acting too: She played Dubbie in Barry Levinson’s film Liberty Heights.

She was one of the ‘Modern Muses’ on the November 1999 millennium cover of American Vogue.

The looker found more fame when she was featured on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2005 and 2006.

Murphy has sH๏τ campaigns for Missoni, Versace and Tiffany & Co.

In July 2012, Murphy was hired to replace Angela Lindvall as host of Project Runway All Stars on Lifetime, after Rosie Huntington-Whiteley dropped out for a film project. 

The 5ft9in Florida native was wed to Jake Schroeder from 1999 until 2002.

Together they have child Dylan Blue.
