Coleen Nolan’s Loose Women co-stars found out out that her sister Linda has died on the show on Wednesday, following a 20-year breast cancer battle.
Linda’s death was revealed in a statement released by her agent Dermot McNamara, who said she pᴀssed away on Wednesday morning after suffering from double pneumonia.
Linda, 65, rose to fame alongside her sisters as a member of the girlband The Nolan Sisters, and after leaving the band pursued a career in stage musicals.
The sad news of her pᴀssing broke while Loose Women was on air, with Christine Lampard informing viewers and reading out a statement during the show.
Christine was joined on the panel on Wednesday by Nadia Sawalha, Myleene Klᴀss, and Kelly Brook, who reflected on their memories of the late star.
Linda had often appeared on the ITV show with her youngser sister Coleen, who was last on the panel on January 7.

As the show returned after an ad break, Christine told viewers: ‘Some very sad news for you now. Linda Nolan, Coleen’s sister, who was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer in 2017, has died at the age of 65.
‘In a statement just released, it is without profound sadness that we announce the pᴀssing of Linda Nolan.
‘She pᴀssed peacefully with her loving siblings by her bedside, ensuring she was embraced with love and comfort during her final moments.
‘Linda’s legacy extends beyond her incredible achievements in music and entertainment. She was a beacon of hope and resillience sharing her journey to raise awareness and inspire others.
‘Rest In Peace Linda, you will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Sending love to Coleen, Linda’s family, all of the family. We’re thinking of you all today.’
She then turned to the other panelists and emotionally quipped: ‘We’ve been talking about Linda for so long haven’t we, with Coleen, and I know it was an incredibly tough time for the family but you’re just never prepared.’
Nadia agreed: ‘Nothing prepares you because there is a moment when the light goes out and when the light goes out that is the most awful shock.’
Chrstine added: ‘They’ve been through so much as a family – sending all our love.’
Her sister and Loose Women panelist Coleen also shared a separate statement penning: ‘I am utterly devastated by the pᴀssing of my sister, Linda.

‘Over the weekend, Linda was taken by ambulance to Blackpool Victoria Hospital and admitted with double pneumonia. In the early hours of Tuesday morning, she went into a coma and into end-of-life care, surrounded by her devoted family.
