Sir Rod Stewart’s 80th birthday celebrations have come to an end after the musician gathered his huge family to celebrate in style with a luxury holiday in St Barts. 

The singer splashed out on a no-expense-spared holiday on a $150million super yacht travelling around the Caribbean with his wife Penny Lancaster, 53, and seven of his eight children.

And his son Alastair has shared a series of sweet family group snaps as he gushed over the ‘unforgettable’ trip. 

The whole gang posed for a smiling sH๏τ, before they began pulling faces for a goofy snap. 

As the family messed around, Alastair captioned the post: ‘An unforgettable time, love you all.’

Last week Rod, who has reportedly hired the boat for $3million, made the most of the sunny climate as he rocked a fedora hat, bright-yellow shirt and topped up his tan on the speedboat ride to the shore.

Penny arrived on the beach in a black lace sheer dress and white T-shirt but soon stripped it off to showcase her figure in a cheetah-print swimsuit.

Ruby, whom Rod welcomed in 1987 with his ex-girlfriend Kelly Emberg, slipped into a khaki ʙικιɴι and rocked a black hat and sunglᴀsses. She is on the holiday with her partner Jake Kalic.

During the beach day, Penny headed for a swim alongside her son Alastair, 19, Adam Sumner, who is the partner of Rod’s daughter Renee, 32.

Rod has eight children over 47 years by five different mothers.

The crooner and Penny married in 2007 and have sons Alastair and Aiden Patrick, 14.

Kimberly, 45, whose mother is Alana, has been sharing snaps from the lavish trip, including a picture of her daughter Delilah, 13, posing with Rod.

Her brother Sean, 44, is part of the party along with his girlfriend Julia Stambler.

Liam, 30, and his wife Nicole Artukovich, who is expecting their second child, are also onboard.

Rod is also father to daughter Sarah Streeter, 60, whom he shares with ex-girlfriend Susannah Boffey. Sarah doesn’t appeared to have joined them on the trip.

It comes after Rod ᴀssured fans he’s ‘not finished yet’ as he marked his 80th birthday on Instagram.

The iconic singer took to his Instagram Stories with a sweet post thanking his ‘loyal and rowdy’ supporters for their devotion over his 50-year career.

He wrote: ‘May I take this opportunity on this my 80th birthday to personally express my graтιтude and thanks to all my loyal and rowdy fans all over the world, for helping give me such a wonderful life!’.

‘In return I hope I’ve given you some memorable songs and lively concerts… I’ve not finished yet. Sir Rod’.

Meanwhile, Penny shared a tribute to her ‘darling’ alongside a pH๏τo of the sun-soaked Maggie May hitmaker.

‘Happy birthday my darling, so blessed to be sharing this day together with all our kids. Building more memories to carry with us into the future and to be held close to out hearts forever, I love you’.

The luxury vessel has a hefty crew, complete with three chefs ‘to take care of everyone’s dietary needs and restrictions’ as the famous family ‘hop across several islands’ in the Caribbean.

‘The holiday is costing Rod millions,’ an insider told DailyMail.com. ‘He’s known to be a cheapskate but not this time. He flew everyone to Florida first class and has told them they won’t need to put their hands in their pockets for a thing. He’s covering their every whim.

‘The reason behind the trip is Rod feels it’s time to bring his family together for his big birthday. There have been battles between many of them over the years. The singer wants everything from now on to be harmonious.’

Rod is no stranger to holidaying with his brood, having spent days onboard a luxury 197ft, £274,000-a-week yacht in Italy in summer 2022.

But insiders claim he wanted to ‘do it up big’ for his current celebratory adventure.

The Grammy Award winner chose the 288ft vessel which features nine suites for guests, as well as a beauty salon, a gym, a Hammam, a swimming pool and a helipad.

‘This trip meant so much to Rod,’ added a second source. ‘The whole family has come together and put any drama aside to really have a bonding experience.

‘Being surrounded by so much love is invaluable to Rod. He wanted to do it up big for this one.

‘He could not have gone bigger.’
