Moana actress Catherine Laga’aia took a fall while filming the upcoming live action movie on a beach in Hawaii.
The 17-year-old Australian actress — who was spotted working with co-star John Tui days ago — was surrounded by a film crew as she fell on the sandy shoreline.
The rising star was clad in the тιтular character’s familiar burnt orange tube top and traditional beige hula skirt in the scene.
Her brunette waves fell around her as she worked and she was barefoot.
Missing from the scene was Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, 52, who is reprising his role as demigod Maui from the original animated film.
The live-action day of filming comes as Moana 2 hits the box office.

Weeks ahead of its November 27 release, it was predicted to thrive at the box office.
Per ᴅᴇᴀᴅline, AMC Theatres CEO Adam Aron said on a quarterly earnings call, ‘Some people in the know are telling me that Moana 2 could eclipse and outshine even the success of Inside Out 2.’
It comes after previous reports that the Moana sequel’s first-day ticket pre-orders surpᴀssed the year’s record for animated movies, trailing ᴅᴇᴀᴅpool & Wolverine, Wicked, and Dune: Part 2.
The film is expected to rake in more than $100 million Thanksgiving weekend’s Wednesday through Sunday stretch.
So far, Inside Out 2 is the highest-grossing film of 2024, with over $1.6 billion in global sales.
In early October Johnson took to Instagram to tease the Moana follow-up.
Posting to his 395 million followers, the veteran entertainer shared the latest movie poster and trailer.
In a joint post with Disney, one caption read: ‘Go on an epic adventure with #Moana2, only in theaters November 27!;

The upcoming second Moana film was announced this past February, with 23-year-old actress Auli’i Cravalho in talks to return as the beloved тιтle character alongside Johnson’s Maui.
Then, in August it was confirmed that they both would reprise their roles.
