And now Lily Aldrige has had the honour of wearing the ostentatious Fireworks Fantasy Bra for her very first time.
The 29-year-old American model confidently strutted down the runway at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion show on Tuesday evening as she sported the $2 million jewel encrusted undergarment.
The wife of Kings of Leon rocker Caleb Followill was all smiles in the gaudy article of clothing while she made her way down the catwalk at Lexington Avenue Armory in New York City.
This year’s edition of the bra was designed by jewelers, Mouawad, and made to look like the colourful explosions in the sky as it was adorned with more than 6,500 precious gems.
The bra took more than 685 hours of labor to create, and features 14 different gems – including red garnet, blue topaz, yellow sapphire, and pink quartz – which are all set in 18 karat gold.
And while Lily is shown dancing effortlessly in the lingerie, the bra is actually quite heavy. The total weight of the gem stones is 1,364 carats, while the diamonds weigh more than 375 carats.
Meanwhile, the coral-coloured panties are adorned with 126 diamonds and 400 other precious gems.
